Feminisms and globalization. Critical perspectives

As a result of neoliberal globalisation processes, massive changes have taken place that have directly affected the condition - legal, political, social, economic - of women.

In this focus we intend to examine these transformations according to the proposals so far put forward by feminist critical theory, with particular reference to the debates that have been developed in different geographical and cultural contexts.

Particular attention will be paid to the following themes:

- Decolonial feminism

- Feminism and neoliberalism

- Black feminism and racialisation

- Feminism and immigration

- Feminism and climate change

- Feminism and extractivism

- Feminism and legal and political cosmopolitanism

- Feminism and pacifism

- Feminism and labour and sexual exploitation

Abstracts (maximum 1000 characters) should be sent to orsetta.giolo@unife.it and annalisa.verza@unibo.it and, in c.c., to athena@unibo.it, by 30 May 2024.

Selected papers must be submitted by 15 September 2024.
